These measurements are based off a standard chlorinator operating with a primary salinity of 4,000ppm. Consult your pool care professional for advice if your system requires a higher or lower salinity level and adjust dosage accordingly.
Magnesium Hardness Test: When conditioning the pool water with Magnesium Minerals, the target Magnesium Hardness level is 600-800ppm (based on a Salinity target of 4,000ppm). Magnesium Hardness can be tested with LaMotte Spin Disk 801, or LaMotte Insta-test Magnesium.
Treatments: To begin using Magnesium Minerals, you will need to know the pool water salinity level. Once the salinity level is known, add the appropriate Magnesium Minerals amount by following the dosage tables. Add one 10kg Bucket of Magnesium Minerals for every 20kg bag of pool salt for the perfect mineral blend, rich in magnesium.
Start up - add in 10kg per 10,000L
- 30,000L = 30kg of Minerals = 3 x 10kg
- 40,000L = 40kg of Minerals = 4 x 10kg
- 50,000L = 50kg of Minerals = 5 x 10kg
Ongoing - 2 to 3 months - 6kg per 10,000 L
