Algaecide isn’t a magical solution for instantly banishing green algae from your pool. Instead, it serves as both a preventive measure and a treatment.

Why do I need Ph Down?
When your water has high pH, your chlorine will be a lot less effective in not only sanitising your pool water, but in killing algae as well. When dealing with heavy algae blooms, the most efficient way would be to drop your pool's pH levels to help your chlorine kill off algae faster.
Do I really need stabilised chlorine?
We should have placed this up top, but it's chlorine that does the actual algae killing. Even if you use a chlorinator, superchlorinating your pool is the BEST way of getting rid of pool algae.
How to use the Water TechniX Green Algae Chemical Bundle
Preface: This is for dealing with a LOT of green algae and it will lead your pool to being unusable for the treatment period.
Step One: Using the pH down chemical, drop your pH levels down to at least a 6.9 (anything below 7) to make your pool water acidic. This will not only improve the effectivity of your chlorine, but an acidic environment actualy kills algae as well!
Step Two: Using Stabilised Chlorine, shock your pool while the pH is down. The Water TechniX Stabilised Chlorine is specially blended with Cyanuric acid to ensure that the chlorine has more than enough time to do its job before being burned off by the sun.
Step Three: Add algaecide to the pool to kill off the remaining algae and to protect your pool from reinfestation for up to three months!
Step Four: (VERY IMPORTANT) While it may be tempting to dive in once your water is clear, make sure to TEST and rebalance your pool chemical levels.
