How to Replace Your Filter Cartridge
Turn Off Power
Turn off all power to your pool pump at the circuit breaker.
Relieve Pressure
Open the air relief valve until the gauge reads zero.
Remove Old Filter
Unlock and remove the tank lid, pull cartridge straight up.
Install New Filter
Rinse tank, slide new cartridge down firmly onto manifold.
Reseal & Check
Lube O-ring, replace lid, power on, bleed air, check for leaks.
Turn Off Power
Turn off all power to your pool pump and filter system at the circuit breaker.
Relieve Pressure
Open the air relief valve on top of the filter tank. Wait until hissing stops completely.
Open Tank & Remove Old Filter
Unlock and remove the filter tank lid. Grab the old cartridge handle and pull straight up.
Clean Tank & Install New Filter
Rinse debris from inside the tank. Slide the new cartridge down, seating firmly on the manifold.
Reseal, Repressurize & Check
Lubricate the lid O-ring. Secure lid, close air relief valve, turn power on. Bleed air until steady water appears. Check for leaks.

Thoroughly Rinse
Using a garden hose with spray nozzle (not a pressure washer), work top-down at 45ยฐ between the pleats. Rotate as you go.
Deep Clean with Filter Cleaning Solution (Every 3 to 4 Months)
Soak the cartridge overnight in a bucket with Filter Cleaning Solution. This breaks down stubborn oils, lotions, and minerals that hosing alone won't remove.
What container to use
For most cartridges, a standard 20-litre bucket works perfectly. For taller cartridges (700mm+), use a 60-litre plastic bin with a lid. Soak one end first, then rotate and soak the other end to clean the full length. Always cover with a lid to keep kids and pets safe.
Rinse, Dry and Store
After soaking, rinse the cartridge thoroughly with a garden hose. Let it dry completely in the sun. Once fully dry, store in a garbage bag ready for the next rotation. A dry cartridge won't grow mould or mildew between uses.
When reinstalling, place back in the tank, secure the lid, lubricate the O-ring, power on, and bleed air from the relief valve.
