Know Your Water Chemistry First
You can't fix what you can't measure. Test your water before adding any chemical β it takes 30 seconds and saves you money every time.
Tests pH, free chlorine, total chlorine, bromine, alkalinity, cyanuric acid, and hardness in one dip. Know exactly what your water needs before you dose.
- 7-in-1 testing covers every key parameter in a single strip β pH, chlorine, alkalinity, cyanuric acid, bromine, and total hardness
- 100 strips per pack β enough for a full season of twice-weekly testing
- Results in seconds β easy-to-read colour chart included on every tub
- Compatible with all pool types β chlorine, salt, bromine, and ionised pools
Eliminate Black Spot β Fast
Black spot algae is the toughest pool problem in Australia. Regular chlorine won't touch it. You need a concentrated, purpose-built solution.
The concentrated chlorine formula engineered specifically for black spot algae. Goes where regular chlorine can't β directly attacking the deep-rooted biofilm that keeps algae alive.
- High-strength 900g/kg active chlorine β far more concentrated than regular pool chlorine granules
- Kills stubborn black spot algae in under 24 hours when applied directly to affected areas
- Safe for all pool surfaces β plaster, fibreglass, vinyl, and pebblecrete
- Granular formula dissolves rapidly for fast, targeted action β no waiting, no wasted product
- Australian made β formulated for Aussie pool conditions and summer UV intensity
Choose the Right Chlorine for You
Not everyone's pool β or lifestyle β is the same. Pick your preferred maintenance approach below.
The go-to for regular sanitisation. UV-stabilised so it lasts longer in Australian sun β your chlorine actually works instead of burning off within hours.
- UV stabilised formula β cyanuric acid protects active chlorine from solar degradation so it lasts 3β5Γ longer than unstabilised options
- Dosage: 10β30g per 10,000L for weekly maintenance; 30β60g for a shock dose after heavy use or rain
- 100% soluble granules β dissolves completely with no residue, no clouding
- Kills bacteria, algae spores, and organic contaminants β keeps water safe and comfortable for swimmers
All the power of a shock treatment, none of the chlorine. Ideal for sensitive skin, ionised pools, or anyone who wants to swim sooner.
- Swim in just 15 minutes after dosing β no extended wait times like traditional chlorine shock treatments
- Dosage: 100g per 10,000L for weekly oxidisation; 250g for a full shock treatment after heavy rain or pool party
- Eliminates chloramines, organic waste, and contaminants that cause cloudy water and skin irritation
- Compatible with ionised, mineral, and saltwater pools β won't affect your cyanuric acid levels
- No chlorine odour and gentler on skin, hair, and swimwear β great for families with young children

Get More From Your Chlorine
Dose in the Evening
Add chlorine after sunset. UV rays degrade unstabilised chlorine rapidly β dosing at dusk gives it hours to work before the sun hits. Even stabilised chlorine lasts longer this way.
Test Before You Dose
Never add chemicals without testing first. Over-chlorinating is just as bad as under-chlorinating β it causes skin irritation, damages surfaces, and wastes product.
Brush Black Spot First
Before applying Black Spot Remover, scrub the affected areas with a stiff brush to break up the protective biofilm. This exposes the algae roots to the chlorine treatment.
Keep pH in Range
Chlorine only works properly between pH 7.2 and 7.6. If your pH drifts above 7.8, chlorine efficiency drops by up to 90%. Test and adjust pH before you chlorinate.
Shock After Heavy Rain
Rainfall introduces organic contaminants and dilutes your chemicals. Shock your pool within 24 hours of heavy rain β either with a stabilised chlorine dose or Oxi Shock.
Watch Your Cyanuric Acid
Stabiliser (CYA) protects chlorine from UV, but too much (above 80ppm) locks chlorine up and makes it ineffective. Test CYA levels monthly and dilute by partial water replacement if needed.
What Pool Owners Are Saying
"The black spot remover worked like magic. I'd been fighting black spot for two summers and this sorted it in under 24 hours. Brushed the areas first, applied directly, done. Pool has never looked better."
"Finally a chlorine-free shock that actually does the job. No harsh smell, the water cleared up within an hour, and we were back in the pool 15 minutes after dosing. Perfect for our kids."
"The stabilised chlorine goes so much further than what I was buying from the hardware store. My pool stays clear for the whole week now instead of going green by Wednesday. Great product."
Pool Chlorine Questions Answered
Stabilised chlorine contains cyanuric acid (CYA), which acts as a sunscreen for the chlorine. It prevents UV rays from breaking down the active chlorine, so it lasts significantly longer β especially important in Australian summer. Unstabilised chlorine (like liquid chlorine or cal-hypo) works faster but degrades rapidly in sunlight. For regular outdoor pool maintenance, stabilised is almost always the better choice.
Shock your pool at least once a week during peak swimming season, and always within 24 hours of: heavy rain, a pool party, visible algae growth, or strong chlorine odour (which paradoxically indicates too many chloramines, not too much chlorine). Oxi Shock is ideal for regular oxidisation as you can swim again within 15 minutes.
Black spot algae (Cyanobacteria) has a protective gel layer that standard chlorine concentrations simply can't penetrate. You need a very high-strength, concentrated chlorine product applied directly to the affected area β and you need to physically break up that biofilm with a stiff brush first. Our Black Spot Remover at 900g/kg active chlorine is specifically formulated to penetrate this defence.
Oxi Shock is a powerful oxidiser but it doesn't provide residual sanitisation the way chlorine does. For chlorine or salt pools, it works best as a weekly oxidiser used alongside your regular chlorine β not as a full replacement. For ionised or mineral pools with low chlorine demand, it can be your primary sanitiser. Check your pool system's requirements with your local pool professional if unsure.
The ideal free chlorine level is 1β3 ppm (parts per million) for most pools. Combined (total) chlorine should stay below 0.5 ppm β if it's higher, your pool needs shocking. Always test with reliable strips like our 7-in-1 kit before adding any product, and adjust pH to the 7.2β7.6 range first to ensure your chlorine works at maximum efficiency.
