How to Use It
Test Your Water
Use a test strip or kit to measure your current free chlorine level. Determine how many ppm you need to reduce.
Calculate Your Dose
Add 50g per 50,000L to lower chlorine by 1 ppm. Use the dosage table below to calculate for your pool size.
Pre-Dissolve & Add
Dissolve the dose in a bucket of pool water first, then pour into the pool with the pump running. For fibreglass pools, always pre-dissolve to avoid staining.
Wait & Re-Test
Allow 1 hour to circulate. Re-test your chlorine level. Repeat in small increments if needed. Always confirm balance before swimming.
- Does not remove chloramines or combined chlorine โ use Oxi Shock for that.
- Add in small increments โ over-dosing strips all sanitiser from the pool.
- If using a salt chlorinator, turn it down or off during treatment.
- For fibreglass pools, always pre-dissolve to prevent surface staining.
Critical Application Warnings
This product is extremely potent. Incorrect use can completely strip your pool of sanitiser or cause surface damage. Please read carefully before use.
For standard backyard pools, only add one capful at a time. Do not overdose. Adding too much will make it extremely difficult to build your chlorine levels back up later.
ALWAYS pre-dissolve in a bucket of water before adding to the pool. Direct addition of granules can cause staining on fibreglass surfaces if the water balance is incorrect.
How Much Do You Need?
Add 50g per 50,000L of pool water to reduce free chlorine by 1 ppm. Use the table below for precise dosing.
Quick rule: 10g per 10,000L reduces chlorine by 1 ppm.
