It's exactly as you described it.
Good quality for the price.
Unfortunately my filter lid is slightly too big.

The Gripper is great !!!!
I have always had trouble removing the pool pump lids after they haven't been removed for a while (and I forgot last time to use some silicone lube). But The Gripper made light owrk of it, especially since the pumps ar in an awkward position. Only downside I have found is that if you try and use it on a white upvc lid (to a dribble Rainbow chlorinator) it slips - but the pump lids were the main point of my purchase.
