Water TechniX Green Algae Chemical Bundle

Make algae maintenance easy with this green algae chemical bundle. Keeping it simple we have created this bundle to help you 1) prevent algae growth & 2) kill/ clear algae from your swimming pool if it is present. Green pool water will mean that you have algae growth. 

Here is an easy step-by-step of what to do with green algae growth and how to use this bundle. 

1) Prevent Algae Growth:

• Maintaining positive ORP readings in the 650-750 mV range are ideal for sanitation. mV can be found easily on a digital test measurement of your pool water. You can find the ORP/TEMP digital tester by searching "water testers" that will give you this measurement. Also a 6-in-1 tester available.
• ORP (Oxidation-reduction potential) is a solid measurement to determine the general water quality of a swimming pool. It provides insight into the overall chlorine level and level of sanitation. Once the ORP of the water declines, a pool can quickly turn green with pool algae.

2) Use Water TechniX Algaecide:

• Benzalkonium based algaecides work by smothering the algae spore or bloom molecule in a detergent based film. This film removes the ability for the algae to absorb oxygen so it can no longer grow and dies off. Help prevent algae with 1 application every 3 months!

3) Use A Pool Brush:

• If you already have green algae growing on your pool surfaces, then giving your walls and floor a good brushing is more than enough to detach them so they can be properly filtered out.

4) Shock Your Pool

• Once that’s done, shock your pool and continue to maintain the recommended chlorine levels to ensure that they don’t grow back.

5) How To Shock Your Pool?

• Sanitise pool with a heavy treatment of chlorine (Water TechniX Stabilised Pool Chlorine).
• Use Water TechniX PH DOWN. Algae feeds off high pH. By doing this, the chlorine will be more effective.
• Ensure the system is on and running for a 24 hour period to disperse the shock treatment around the pool and clean the filter for any debris captured.
• Test and re-balance 2 to 3 days after and make any additional adjustments required. Switch the filtration system back to its normal operating procedure.
