No. For surface mount lights like the Vivid, the fixture is pulled to the pool deck, allowing you to change the light without draining. You simply remove the old fixture, connect the new LED light, and reinstall. Always have a licensed electrician do the wiring work.

Multi-colour lights use a simple on/off cycling function. Flick the power switch on and off quickly to cycle through colour modes. When you reach your preferred colour or mode, leave the light on for about 10 seconds to lock it in. It will recall that setting each time it powers on.

If you're replacing an old halogen light, you likely already have a compatible 12V transformer. Our retro-fit lights are designed to work with existing equipment. Verify the wattage output of your transformer matches the total wattage of all lights you're powering. If you need a new one, the Water TechniX LinX transformer is the recommended pairing.

The Vivid is a surface-mount light. It mounts to the pool wall surface using a universal bracket and suits most Australian pools. The Aura is a wet-niche light. It sits inside a recessed niche in the pool wall and is the upgrade path for pools that already have a niche-style fitting. If you're unsure which type you have, look at your existing light: if it protrudes from the wall, it's surface mount; if it sits flush in a cavity, it's niche.

One Water TechniX LED light comfortably illuminates pools up to 8m x 4m. For larger pools, two lights positioned at each end provide even coverage. The Pure White model is ideal for maximum brightness across bigger areas.

In most cases, yes. If your existing transformer outputs 12V AC and has enough wattage capacity for the lights you're running, it will work with our LED lights. Check the label on your transformer — if it's rated for the total wattage of all connected lights plus a 20% buffer, you're good to go.

Yes. While the physical fitting of the light into the bracket is straightforward, the wiring connection to the transformer must be done by a licensed electrician. This ensures your installation is safe, compliant, and covered by warranty.

If you suspect a leak, turn off power to the light immediately and contact a licensed electrician. Never attempt to service a pool light you suspect has a fault or water ingress. For lights that simply aren't turning on, first check the circuit breaker and transformer output before assuming the light itself has failed.
